EMAC Job Market Training
Objective
To support PhD candidates and Postdoc researchers that will enter the academic job market, EMAC organizes a job market training at the EMAC Spring Conference. The event will takes place at the conference venue immediately after the Doctoral Colloquium and prior to the conference opening reception.Format
Prior to the training, applicants to the training need to send in their application package and they will receive written feedback from experienced researchers how to improve the application files. During the training, they have the opportunity to present their research to a small group of attendants and engage in a trial interview with the coaches. We plan to organize 2 tracks, one for CB-oriented researchers and one for quant-oriented researchers.Application
To apply for the EMAC job market training, applicants need to send in the following documents:
1. A motivation letter from the job market candidate that outlines: why you want to participate in the training; status of the PhD work; your career ambitions; and what you would like to learn from the job market training.
2. Curriculum vitae (incl. PhD coursework)
3. Letter of support from your advisor
4. Job market paper (include only one paper that is not yet accepted for publication; it can be updated till the workshop.)
Participation Fee
The training is free for job market candidates that registered for the EMAC Spring Conference, other participants will pay a fee of €80 to participate in the event.
